About the Role:

Reporting to the project specific Commercial Development Manager, the primary objective of this role is to be responsible for the client-side construction delivery of multiple commercial and industrial property development projects. This role requires a background in project management or quantity surveying, with direct experience in commercial and/or industrial construction. 

  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned projects to agreed standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Responsible for maximising the development profitability potential of all development projects.
  • Ensure all developments comply with all relevant NZ Standards and Codes of Practice and meet the requirements of the RMA.  
  • Work alongside the Commercial Development Manager and Design Manager to manage the concept, development, and detailed design process on each individual project.
  • Negotiate and document construction contracts for both civil and vertical construction.
What do you need to succeed?
  • Commercial construction project management experience is essential.
  • A strong understanding of the NZ Building Code.
  • Experience in Resource Management and building consent processes.
  • Understanding of planning and building frameworks, local authority management, consultant, and contractor management.
  • Civil Construction or Quantity Surveying background is advantageous.
