Originally the Hastings Healthcare Centre, 101 Queen Street was a high profile commercial building in need of a full internal refurbishment, structural strengthening upgrade, and an exterior ‘facelift’. The strengthening work involved stripping out the building to expose all structural elements, which allowed the installation of new structural steel bracing elements to the roof and walls, plus new concrete shear walls to the ground floor. This brought the building’s earthquake strengthening up to 80% NBS (New Building Standard).
After the structural upgrade, we completed the fit out for the buildings’ three commercial tenancies, one of which was our client, Westpac. Our construction project management team managed multiple sub trades such as mechanical, electrical, security, data and communications, fire, through to the finishing touches.
Our Businesses Involved: Construction, Painting and Masonry, Plumbing, Rocket Scaffolding, Superchill HVAC and Refrigeration, Traffic Management.
