About the Role
Join a leading construction company and take the lead on projects across the South Island.
We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Construction Foreman to oversee site operations, coordinate logistics, and act as a key link between field teams and management. In this role, you’ll help drive efficient, consistent project delivery across multiple locations.
This position is primarily based throughout the South Island, with regular travel between sites required. Occasional travel to the North Island may also be needed to support wider project and operational requirements, so flexibility is essential.
What does this look like?
- Supervise activities across multiple active construction sites throughout the South Island.
- Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and timeline standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and resolve issues.
- Ensure all carpentry work is compliant with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
What do you need to succeed?
- New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) or relevant tertiary education.
- Current LBP (Residential) is preferred, but not essential.
- Proven experience as a construction foreman, with regional or multi-site oversight preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
