About the Role
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Site Foreman to join our dynamic team and contribute to a range of exciting construction projects across Hawke’s Bay.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and oversee daily site operations, ensuring all construction activities are carried out to a high standard and in full compliance with health and safety requirements. The Site Foreman is responsible for directing and supervising on‑site crews, ensuring work is completed correctly, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
This role is accountable for organising site layout, coordinating trades, and overseeing the installation, construction, repair, and finishing of structures and building components. Responsibilities also include interpreting plans, measuring and allocating materials, and ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and industry standards.
What does this look like?
- Work to a project plan supplied by the Project Manager.
- Overall management of work sites in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Perform industry tasks as diligently, quickly, and effectively as possible.
- Co-ordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers to achieve programme.
- Work through design issues with the project team, contractors, clients, and consultants
What do you need to succeed?
- New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) or above.
- Current Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) is preferred, but not essential.
- Proven prior experience in a senior-level tradesmen role.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously whilst keeping relevant parties informed.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Current and clean Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
