About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled joiner, cabinet maker, or installer to bring expert craftsmanship and technical know-how to our team, helping us deliver top-quality joinery products.

This role is responsible for interpreting detailed plans, fabricating and assembling timber components, and ensuring all work meets the company’s standards for precision, durability, and finish. The Skilled Joiner plays a key role in delivering custom solutions for residential and commercial projects, supporting the business’s reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.

What does this look like?

  • Construct cabinetry and joinery items to meet production requirements and project specifications.
  • Manufacture and assemble joinery components with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and cutting lists to guide fabrication.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a range of joinery machinery and hand tools.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring all outputs meet quality benchmarks and project deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support a productive and positive workshop environment.
  • Keep the workspace clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in onsite installations as needed, ensuring seamless integration of joinery products.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Trade qualification in Joinery or Cabinetmaking (NZQA or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of joinery materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations.
  • Skilled in the use of joinery machinery (e.g., CNC machines) is preferred.
  • Current and clean Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
