The Opportunity
TW Concrete & Landscaping is on the lookout for a highly skilled Concrete Foreman to lead our hardworking team and help deliver top-tier results across a range of exciting projects.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our concreting crew—ensuring projects are completed on time, to spec, and with the highest standards of quality and safety. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising site activities, managing small teams, and ensuring the accurate placement, levelling, and finishing of concrete across various construction sites.
Key Priorities
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Lead and manage a crew of concreters on-site, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Plan daily work schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate with other trades to meet project timelines.
- Direct and participate in the pouring, spreading, levelling, and finishing of concrete for slabs, driveways, footpaths, foundations, and other structures.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all concrete work meets specifications, tolerances, and finish requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues on-site, including delays, material shortages, or technical challenges.
- Co-ordinate subcontractors, suppliers and service providers to achieve programme.
- Communicate daily, weekly, and project objectives clearly with your team and stakeholders.
Skills & Education
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in concreting including placement, levelling, and finishing.
- Thorough knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and its practical application.
- Reliable and consistent attendance with strong work ethic.
- Exceptional eye for detail in all aspects of concrete placement and formwork.
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Takes pride in workmanship with quality being non-negotiable.
- Experience with various concrete placement and finishing techniques.
- Current and clean New Zealand Driver’s License.
