TW Property has welcomed the Government’s funding announcement today for the proposed Flaxmere Racecourse, marking a significant milestone toward delivering a state-of-the-art, Tier 1 racecourse and training facility for Hastings and the wider Hawke’s Bay region.

A major new build is taking shape in Flaxmere, with TW Group’s construction arm, TW Construction, leading the delivery of a state-of-the-art Woolworths supermarket, a project set to transform the heart of the growing Hastings suburb.

A $700,000 community facility has opened in Hastings to support new mothers with free parenting advice, connection and wellbeing. The three-bedroom facility, at 11 Kauru Rd in Waipatu, was built and donated through a “community effort” spearheaded by TW Group and will become the new home of Mamia, an organisation established in 2021 to help families in early parenthood

A significant milestone was celebrated in Flaxmere this morning as representatives from TW Property, Hastings District Council, mana whenua and the local community gathered for a Karakia Whakawātea (Turning of the Sod) ceremony, to mark the beginning of construction for the new Woolworths supermarket.

TW Group opened its headquarters earlier in the month to a group of wāhine from Tamatea and Havelock North High Schools as part of the nationwide Girls with Hi-Vis initiative, led by Connexis.

Exciting progress is underway in the construction of Mamia’s brand-new, purpose-built whare - a dedicated space designed to support new māmā and their tamariki.
