We’re looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Gisborne operation. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive business growth, champion operational excellence, and deliver exceptional customer service across the region.
You’ll have the opportunity to lead a skilled team of technicians and support staff, build strong customer relationships, and take ownership of a well-established branch while contributing to the success of a growing business.
About the Role
As Branch Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the Gisborne branch. You’ll lead day-to-day operations, develop strong customer relationships, support business development activities, and ensure the safe and effective delivery of HVAC and refrigeration services across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
You’ll combine strong leadership skills with commercial acumen to deliver results while fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspiring, coaching, and developing a team of technicians, apprentices, and support staff.
- Building a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
- Managing performance, workforce planning, and recruitment activities.
- Overseeing service, maintenance, and project delivery activities.
- Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Managing branch resources, scheduling, and productivity.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Identifying new business opportunities and supporting tender submissions and quotations.
- Strengthening the branch’s presence within the Gisborne market.
- Monitoring revenue, profitability, and operational costs.
- Managing budgets and forecasts.
- Ensuring strong commercial outcomes across all branch activities.
- Leading safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience, ideally within HVAC and Refrigeration, or a related trade environment.
- Strong operational and commercial management capability.
- Experience leading service teams and delivering successful customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to health, safety, and quality.
- The ability to motivate teams, solve problems, and deliver results.
