About The Role
The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of domestic, light commercial, and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure efficient and reliable HVAC solutions for clients.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for:
- Install domestic, light commercial, and commercial HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to execute installations accurately.
- Ensure correct setup, calibration, and commissioning of systems according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project timelines and client satisfaction.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, reporting any variations or scope changes promptly.
Skills, Experience, and Education Expectations
- Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Trade, Level 4) or 3 years’ industry experience.
- Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) Licence is advantageous but not essential.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in HVAC installation across domestic and commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and related components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership skills for mentoring apprentices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Brings a positive attitude and a great sense of humour!
