Changing the face of men's health

TW Group Mo Bros: A Second Year of Movember Success!

In a remarkable display of camaraderie and commitment, TW Group Mo Bros & Mo Sisters proudly concluded their Movember initiative for the second consecutive year. The internal competition and funding drive wrapped up last week, raising an impressive $2,100 for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and cancer treatments. The culmination of this month-long effort was celebrated with a festive BBQ awards evening, where participants and supporters gathered to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the Movember community.

Lynyrd from Construction emerged victorious, claiming the coveted top spot in the people’s choice category. His dedication not only earned him the prestigious Movember Trophy but also a Webber BBQ and a specialised sign from RTL. The evening was filled with laughter, joy, and a strong sense of accomplishment as participants were recognised for their fundraising efforts and creative endeavours in growing and styling their moustaches throughout November.

Participation and Generosity:
The Movember initiative at TW Group saw a significant number of movers taking on the challenge of covering 60 kilometers in the month of November. Beyond the physical challenge, employees from various businesses and regions embraced the spirit of Movember by growing their mustaches and rallying behind the cause with generous donations. The collective effort and enthusiasm demonstrated the commitment of TW Group Mo Bros to make a positive impact on men’s health.

Why Movember Matters:
Movember holds a special place in the hearts of TW Group Mo Bros, serving as a platform to raise awareness for crucial issues such as men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and cancer treatments. In an industry predominantly male-dominated, the initiative underscores the importance of looking out for one another and initiating meaningful conversations about mental well-being. The Movember campaign at TW Group aims to challenge stereotypes and contribute to a cultural shift in the perception of men’s health.

Acknowledging Personal Struggles:
A highlight of the Movember celebration was the willingness of individuals to share their personal struggles and experiences. The event became a platform for open and honest conversations about mental health, fostering an environment where participants could connect on a deeper level. The willingness to discuss personal challenges showcased the strength and unity within the TW Group community, emphasising the power of solidarity in addressing mental health issues.

Gratitude to Sponsors:
The success of the Movember initiative at TW Group wouldn’t have been possible without the support of generous sponsors. The company extends a heartfelt thank you to these sponsors who contributed valuable prizes, enabling the hosting of memorable events like the Movember Awards evening. Their generosity not only added excitement to the initiative but also highlighted the collaborative effort needed to create positive change.

As TW Group Mo Bros wraps up another successful Movember campaign, the impact goes far beyond the funds raised. The initiative serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of community, the importance of breaking down stigmas surrounding men’s health, and the role each individual plays in fostering a supportive workplace culture. With two years of success under their belts, TW Group Mo Bros looks forward to continuing their commitment to Movember and making a lasting impact on men’s health for years to come.
