Foreperson

The opportunity:

Join TW Civil & Infrastructure as a Foreperson and help deliver high-quality civil construction projects. In this hands-on role, you’ll be leading and organising a team of drainlayers, operators, and general workers on projects ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

As our Foreperson, you will be responsible for:

· Install pipelines, valves, and fittings in trenches and on plant.

· Read plans, set out works, and use GPS-enabled equipment.

· Deliver work to spec and code with strong QA standards.

· Operate and maintain plant and equipment safely and efficiently.

· Lead and mentor your crew to meet project goals and uphold company values.

· Communicate clearly with team, supervisors, and project managers.

· Work to project plans and timelines, supporting smooth site operations.

· Raise any design issues or risks early and report progress.

· Perform QA checks and send daily updates by 2:30pm.

· Coordinate site teams, apprentices, and subcontractors.

· Run daily pre-starts, inductions, and weekly meetings.

· Plan weekly resource needs with supervisors or project managers.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:

· A qualification and National Certificate in Drainlaying (Level 4)

· 3+ years minimum proven prior experience in a Foreman role in drainage, water, or civil trades

· Solid understanding of drainage systems, regulations, and best practices — or experience in subdivision construction

· A current Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence (Class 2 preferred)
